McCanns believe Maddie was taken alive

The parents of missing Madeleine McCann reaffirmed today they believe their daughter is still alive despite reports of blood specks being found in the apartment where she vanished.

Portuguese newspapers reported today that detectives now suspect Madeleine was not abducted but died in the holiday flat in the Algarve village of Praia da Luz on the night she disappeared.
