Turkish Prime Minister hints at incursion into Northern Iraq
Turkey could stage an incursion into northern Iraq if talks fail to produce effective measures against Kurdish guerrillas, Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan has warned.
Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri Maliki was expected to visit Turkey after elections on Sunday to discuss Turkey’s demands to crack down on guerrillas of the Kurdistan Workers Party, or PKK, which has been using Iraqi soil as a rear base to launch attacks on Turkey.
