Passenger complains after bus driver detours to see sick wife
A bus company is investigating in the UK after a passenger told how a driver made a detour so he could visit his wife in hospital.
The driver was said to have stopped outside a hospital in Basildon, Essex in England, after telling passengers he had to check on his wife.
He was said to have returned 10 minutes later, told passengers that his wife was “okay” and returned to his route.
Bus firm Blue Triangle, based in Rainham, Essex, said a passenger had reported the incident and bosses had begun an inquiry.
