A sabre once owned by French emperor Napoleon the 1st is expected to realise up to €500,000 when it is auctioned in Paris next month.

A sabre once owned by French emperor Napoleon the 1st is expected to realise up to €500,000 when it is auctioned in Paris next month.

Napoleon is said to have worn the sabre during the battle of Marengo against Austria in June 1800, said French auctioneer Jean-Pierre Osenat.
