At least 10 people were killed and 25 wounded today when a car bomb struck a market in the Iraqi Shiite holy city of Kufa.

The explosion occurred at 10am local time as the open-air market was packed with shoppers, about 400 yards from the main mosque in the city, 100 miles south of Baghdad.
