35 suspected Taliban killed in Afghanistan violence

Afghan security forces clashed with suspected Taliban insurgents in southern Afghanistan, and a subsequent airstrike killed 35 militants.

The clash in Zabul province occurred as Nato military leaders met in Canada to ask for more resources for their fight in the volatile south.
