Hasanuddin, who goes by a single name, was sentenced to 20 years for masterminding the 2005 attack on Sulawesi island, buying the machetes and leaving a hand-written note at the scene vowing more killings.

Co-conspirators Lilik Purnomo and Irwanto Irano were handed 14-year jail terms, said presiding judge Lilik Mulyadi in Jakarta.
