Minibus sinks into subway crater in Brazil
Firefighters aided by dogs searched a huge crater for a missing minibus today, after the walls of a hole being excavated for a new subway station collapsed in Sao Paolo, Brazil.
A bus co-operative reported that a vehicle with as many as eight people aboard was missing and may have been buried by the collapsed earth, said Etrusco Juarez of the Security Department.
Authorities could not confirm that the van had fallen into the hole but were searching anyway, Juarez said.
Media reported that the minibus was carrying a driver, a fare collector and four to six passengers.
