Coalition soldier killed in Afghanistan ambush
Suspected Taliban militants ambushed a US-led coalition patrol in southern Afghanistan killing one soldier while another attack on police in the east left two militants and one policeman dead, officials said today.
The militants fired a rocket-propelled grenade on a military convoy in Kandahar’s restless Panjwayi district yesterday, killing the soldier and damaging one vehicle, said Capt. Andre Salloum, a Nato spokesman in the area.
