Eight still missing off Japan coast

Of the 13 people washed overboard after a freighter caught fire and ran aground in stormy weather off the east coast of Japan, eight were still missing.

One person who was washed ashore later died in hospital, according to Kyodo News agency. Four more were rescued, but there was no word on their condition.
