US forces clash with Iraqi militants at insurgent mosque

US forces fired tank rounds at a mosque today in the insurgent stronghold of Ramadi after coming under attack from militants inside, the US military command said.

One US soldier was lightly wounded, but it was unclear whether there were civilian or militant casualties, it said in a statement.
