Iran president rejects UN nuclear deadline

Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad today rejected a UN Security Council resolution that would give his nation until August 31 to suspend uranium enrichment.

Instead, Ahmadinejad insisted Tehran would pursue its nuclear programme.
