An explosion at an army checkpoint killed six people and wounded 14 others in north-east Sri Lanka today.

An explosion at an army checkpoint killed six people and wounded 14 others in north-east Sri Lanka today.

The explosives were hidden in an auto-rickshaw which blew up when security forces went to check it, said army spokesman Brig. Prasad Samarasinghe.
