Two children killed as tornado hits Chinese school

A tornado tore through eastern China, killing two young children and injuring 46 others after it flattened two classrooms in a village school today.

The tornado hit Zhupeng, a village in Anhui province, at 7.30am (12.30am Irish time) while the primary school children were preparing to take their final exams, the official Xinhua News Agency said.

Two students died and 46 more were injured, it said. No other details were given.
