North Korea vows to strengthen 'deterrent force'
North Korea’s ceremonial head of state vowed today to strengthen the country’s “military deterrent force” in response to US “hostile policy”, the official Korean Central News Agency reported.
“It’s our legitimate self-defensive right to strengthen our own military deterrent force a thousand hundred times in response to US hostile policy that is becoming ever more vicious,” said Kim Yong Nam, the North’s ceremonial head of state, considered second in line to leader Kim Jong Il.
