US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Berlin today to meet counterparts from the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany on Iran after the council for the first time demanded that Tehran clear up suspicions that it is seeking nuclear weapons.

US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice arrived in Berlin today to meet counterparts from the five permanent UN Security Council members and Germany on Iran after the council for the first time demanded that Tehran clear up suspicions that it is seeking nuclear weapons.

The 15-member Security Council approved a statement yesterday asking the UN nuclear watchdog, the International Atomic Energy Agency, to report back in 30 days on Iran’s compliance with demands to stop enriching uranium.
