A terror suspect alleged to have been involved in the Madrid train bombings was ordered to be extradited from the UK to Spain today.

Moutaz Almallah Dabas, a 39-year-old Spaniard, should be extradited within the next 10 days, District Judge Anthony Evans ruled at Bow Street Magistrates’ Court in central London.

Dabas was arrested at his home in Slough, Berkshire, in March on a European extradition warrant 24 hours after Spanish police swooped on his brother Mohannad, a Syrian national, in Madrid.

The Spanish Interior Ministry claims the brothers helped to run a flat in Madrid where al-Qaida-inspired militants were recruited and that some of those responsible for the bombings, which killed 191 people and injured 1,500, were present at meetings.
