Presenter charged with wife's murder

A US radio talk show host was today arrested on murder charges for allegedly poisoning his wife with anti-freeze.

James Keown, 31, made a court appearance via video and said he would not fight efforts to return him to Massachusetts, where he lived when his wife died. He now lives in Missouri.

Prosecutors said he poisoned Julie Keown, 31, over time with ethylene glycol. She died last year in Waltham, Massachusetts.

Keown later moved to Missouri, where he covered the legislature for Jefferson City radio station KLIK and hosted the Party Line talk show.

Keown had told fellow reporters that his wife had died, but he did not say how.

He was arrested at the radio station.
