Jordan to ask UK to extradite radical cleric

Jordan will ask Britain next week to extradite the radical Muslim cleric Abu Qatada, who has been described as Osama bin Laden’s “spiritual ambassador in Europe”, Interior Minister Awni Yirfas said today.

“We will contact the British government after the weekend to seek his extradition to Jordan,” Yirfas said.
