Six face courts over Mary-Ann stabbing
Six men will appear before two courts today charged in connection with the death of stabbed British teenager Mary-Ann Leneghan.
Two men who were charged by Thames Valley Police last night are due to appear at Reading Magistrates Court as another four appear by video link at Reading Crown Court.
Mary-Ann, 16, and a friend, who can not be named for legal reasons, were abducted by a gang of up to six men on the night of May 6 in Reading.
After a terrifying and violent ordeal, including sexual assaults, the pair were taken to Prospect Park in the town where Mary-Ann was stabbed to death early on the morning of Saturday May 7.
But her 18-year-old friend survived being shot in the head and managed to call for help.
Last night police announced that 18-year-old Michael Johnson, of Southfield, London had been charged with murder, attempted murder and kidnap over the attack.
Myron Hiliaire, 18, of Balham, south London, was also charged with possession of a prohibited weapon in connection with the attack.
Both have been held in custody overnight. Police were also continuing to question a further man over the murder.
As the pair appear before magistrates, Llewellyn Adams, 23 of Old Hospital Close, Balham; Adrian Thomas, 19, of Battersea and 18-year-old Indrit Krasniqi of Chiswick, west London, will appear before Mr Justice Nelson at the crown court charged with murder, attempted murder and kidnap.
Jamaile Morally, 21, of Balham, who will appear alongside them, is charged with murder, attempted murder, kidnap and rape.
All four have already been remanded in custody by magistrates.
A total of 15 people have been questioned in connection with the attack.
