A car bomb exploded near an Iraqi army patrol in the northern city of Baqouba today, killing three people and wounding six, police said.

A car bomb exploded near an Iraqi army patrol in the northern city of Baqouba today, killing three people and wounding six, police said.

The blast occurred as the patrol was driving through Baqouba, 35 miles northeast of Baghdad.

The fatalities included two soldiers and a civilian, said police Colonel Mudhafar Mohammed.
