Man charged with schoolgirl's murder

A 20-year-old man appeared in court in Britain today charged with the murder of schoolgirl Danielle Beccan.

Mark Ontonio Kelly is accused of killing the 14-year-old in the early hours of last Saturday morning as she returned home with friends from Nottingham’s annual Goose Fair.

Magistrates in Nottingham remanded Kelly, who lives in Wilford Grove in The Meadows area of the city, in custody until a further hearing at the city’s crown court next Friday.
