British police issued an urgent appeal today to trace a stolen car carrying a three-month-old baby.

British police issued an urgent appeal today to trace a stolen car carrying a three-month-old baby.

The car, a black Vauxhall Vectra registration YT51 HJU, was stolen from outside a house in Raby Road in the Wheatley area of Doncaster at 9.35am.

South Yorkshire Police said a three-month-old girl was in the back of the car at the time.

A force spokeswoman urged local people to be on the lookout for the car, which was last seen heading away from the town towards Wheatley Hall Road.

Anyone who spots the vehicle should contact police on 999.
