12 die as ferry capsizes

A ferryboat carrying 65 people capsized in northern China today, leaving 12 people dead and 36 missing.

The boat was sailing on the Yellow River in Shanxi province when it rolled over.

The people on board were mostly farmers travelling to a small island to pick cotton
