Two men have been arrested and accused of planning an attack against entrants in a major hiking event that has attracted more than 1,100 British soldiers.

The 37-year-old Syrian and 33-year-old Libyan were arrested three days ahead of the annual Nijmegen Four Days Hike, which attracts thousands of hikers including soldiers from the US and Britain, prosecution spokeswoman Loes Borghuis said.
