Five die in Russian fire

A fire broke out at a prison administrative centre in Siberia killing five people and injuring 12, emergency officials said.

The fire started at the Department of Corrections in Novosibirsk, about 1,750 miles east of Moscow, said Gennady Savelyev, a duty officer at the regional Emergency Situations Ministry.
