17 killed in funeral trip bus crash

A bus carrying Kuwaitis home from the funeral of a Muslim religious leader overturned in southern Iraq today, killing 17 people and injuring 33.

The bus was en route from the Shiite holy city of Karbala when it overturned some 34.1 miles from the Iraq-Kuwait border, an Interior Ministry official said in Kuwait City.
