Islamic militants blamed for India blasts

At least 44 people were killed today and 150 wounded when car bombs exploded at a crowded jewellery market and a historic landmark in Bombay.

No one immediately claimed responsibility for the devastating attacks in India’s financial centre, but police said they suspected Muslim extremists, possibly from Pakistan.
