Pictures of Saddam's dead sons released

Photographs of Saddam’s dead sons were released in Baghdad today in a bid to convince sceptical Iraq’s they had not survived the Mosul gun battle.

The pictures showed the upper body and head of Uday, 39, and Qusay, 37.

Also released were photographs of the brothers when they were alive and X-rays used to help identify Uday.

One of the photos showed Uday with a thick beard and severely bruised face.
