A strike by air traffic controllers crippled flights in France today, reducing air traffic to about 20% of normal – one of several walkouts over the government’s plan to revise the pension system.

A strike by air traffic controllers crippled flights in France today, reducing air traffic to about 20% of normal – one of several walkouts over the government’s plan to revise the pension system.

Teachers and postal and telecommunications workers also walked out, a day before the government was to present its controversial pension reform proposal to the Cabinet.
