Newspaper handed 'Saddam tape'

An Australian newspaper said today it had been handed an audiotape purported to have been recorded by Saddam Hussein inside Iraq earlier that day.

The Sydney Morning Herald said its correspondent in Baghdad was given the tape by two men because they had been unable to pass it to any Arab broadcasters.
