Quake shakes Indian state
India’s Gujurat state, where thousands of people were killed by an earthquake two years ago, was shaken by a mild tremor today.
No casualties or damage were reported during today’s quake, which had a magnitude of 2.8.
A 7.9 magnitude quake on January 26 2001 killed more than 13,000 people, destroyed 1.2 million homes and caused an estimated £2.75bn (€4.15bn) in damage.
