The number of people killed in a train crash south of Sydney was reduced today to seven after two people initially feared dead were found alive in a hospital, police said.

The train carrying 70 people jumped its rails and slammed into a ravine wall on Friday, about half an hour after it left Sydney’s Central Station. About 40 people were injured.
