Row leads to 24 storey death plunge
A man arguing with his girlfriend set fire to two apartments in Philadelphia today, then plunged from a 24th floor balcony to his death
The man threw furniture from at the apartments before lighting the fires, said police Captain Thomas Quinn.
Smoke poured from two balconies and a TV news helicopter captured images of the man climbing over the railing and falling.
Another police officer rushed out the door to try to grab him, but was too late. It was not clear whether the man intended to jump.
