Firefighters to stage new strike in UK

Firefighters are to stage a fresh 24-hour strike on January 21 because of growing anger over their deadlocked pay dispute, union leaders decided today.

Fire Brigades’ Union representatives from across the country also decided not to take part in fresh talks at the conciliation service, Acas, next week.
