Turkish plane carrying 72 people crashes
A Turkish Airlines flight with 72 people on board has crashed as it tried to land at an airport in south east Turkey.
There are reports of five survivors.
The Anatolia news agency said the plane, which was on its way from Istanbul, crashed as it landed at Diyarbakir airport in southeastern Turkey.
Some 72 people were on board as well as five cabin crew, Anatolia said.
The RJ-100 passenger aircraft plane crashed in a military area near the airport and soldiers were helping to evacuate the injured.
Four of the injured were evacuated to nearby Diyarbakir hospital, Anatolia reported. CNN-Turk television said the injured were in shock but had no life threatening injuries.
The plane crashed as it landed in heavy fog, private NTV television reported.
