Last Celtic fans travel home as airline denies over-reacting

Six Celtic soccer fans arrested after an alleged “riot” on a passenger jet were travelling back to Glasgow tonight as police and the airline denied claims that they had over-reacted.

Fans rubbished allegations that there had been a “serious disturbance” aboard the 737, forcing the pilot to issue a mayday call and divert to Cardiff airport.
