Scientists from the US, Japan and a Switzerland today shared the Nobel Prize in chemistry for developing methods of identifying and analysing “biological macromolecules,” including proteins.

John Fenn of the United States, Koichi Tanaka of Japan will share one half of the €1m prize, while Kurt Wuethrich of Switzerland will get the other half.
