Girls born joined at the top of the head and separated during lengthy surgery were showing daily improvement and being fed intravenously, doctors said today.

Maria de Jesus Quiej Alvarez and sister Maria Teresa from Guatemala were progressing as they had hoped, the Los Angeles doctors said.
