Boy survives fall into washing machine
A Canadian toddler has survived after falling head first into a running washing machine.
The three-year-old was unconscious inside the washer when he was found by his parents.
He was resuscitated by his father before firefighters took the top-loading machine to bits to free him.
The Ottawa Sun reports the unnamed boy, from Bells Corners, was taken to hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.
An Ottawa police spokesman said: "He probably swallowed a couple mouthfuls of water. He's a lucky kid."
