White House reopens to the public
The White House has reopened its doors to tourists again.
Public access to the famous home of the US President had been banned following the Septemeber 11 terrorist attacks.
Five months later tours of 1,600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC are now back in business.
First Lady Laura Bush welcomed visitors today saying she is 'thrilled and delighted' tours have begun again.
She claimed the White House seemed 'lonely without the voices of Americans' in the hallways.
