Turkish intelligence official shoots secretary

A senior official in Turkey's intelligence service has shot and killed a secretary before committing suicide.

The unnamed official shot a secretary working in the same office of the National Intelligence Agency with a pistol.

In a statement, the agency said he then committed suicide.

The statement said the official was suffering from depression. No other reasons for the shooting were given, and the dead secretary has not been named.
