Plane bomber's nationality in question

There is confusion over the nationality of the man who attempted to blow-up a plane bound for Miami from Paris last night.

Both French and British police have named the man as Tariq Raja.

However, French investigators say he is from Sri Lanka and Scotland Yard have said the man is British.

The plane was forced to make an emergency landing in Boston when the man tried to ignite an improvised plastic explosive in his shoes.

It has been reported he was travelling on a false British passport without any luggage.
