Plane spotters face transfer to violent high security prison

The British plane spotters on spying charges could be transferred to an overcrowded and violent high security prison because of a delay in inspecting their photographs, their lawyer said today.

The 12 Britons and two Dutch spotters could be transferred to the high-security Korydallos prison near Athens to await the outcome of the intelligence investigation, said lawyer Yiannis Nikiteas.
