Airports returning to normal after US plane crash
Transatlantic flight schedules are expected to return to normal tomorrow after a day of disruption caused by latest US air disaster.
Airports in Ireland and the UK said they do not anticipate any knock-on delays.
But they advise US-bound passengers to check with their airlines before beginning their journeys.
British Airways diverted three flights after the American Airlines plane crashed in the Queen's area of New York today.
A BA Concorde flight from Heathrow landed safely at Kennedy airport moments after the crash.
The return journey had to be cancelled because delays in the US meant it would arrive back at Heathrow too late to avoid noise restrictions.
Concorde passengers due to travel on that flight were transferred to a subsonic BA service.
A BA spokeswoman said: "We are expecting all of our flights to operate as normal tomorrow. Only three services were diverted today and we are not expecting any delays."
