Hit fails on Saddam's son

Two members of the Iraqi presidential guard failed in a bid to assassinate President Saddam Hussein’s son last month, a newspaper reported today.

The attempt took place in Baghdad on October 19, according to the newspaper Nidaa Arrafidan, which appears in the Iraqi Kurdish region.
