At least 12 killed in explosion at Thai factory

At least 12 workers have died in an explosion at a paint factory in eastern Thailand.

More than 30 others were also injured, three of them seriously, when the blast reduced the factory in Panthong to ruins.

Police said the death toll is expected to rise as rescuers continue to search through the rubble of the plant, which employed more than 1,000 staff.
