Four killed in Indian bomb attack

Four people, including a child, were killed yesterday when a powerful bomb exploded during a Hindu festival in Gauripur in north-eastern India.

The bomb exploded beneath a stage erected for the festival.

Hundreds of devotees were near the stage at the time.

Police said they suspect Islamic militants were behind the attack, which occurred in a region that borders Bangladesh.
