Barrymore cautioned for drugs
Television entertainer Michael Barrymore was tonight cautioned for drugs offences by detectives investigating the death of a man whose body was found in a swimming pool at the comedian’s home.
Police said Barrymore, 49, of Roydon, Essex, had been officially cautioned for possessing cannabis and for allowing premises to be used for the smoking of cannabis.
Barrymore had been questioned by detectives and was on police bail. He was due to be further interviewed on October 24.
But a police spokeswoman said he had requested an interview today as he was allowed to under the Bail Act and the result of that interview was that he had been cautioned.
