Man charged with terrorist offences in Britain

A man arrested in Britain on Monday as part of the crackdown on international terrorism has been charged with two counts of training others in the use of firearms and explosives.

A man arrested in Britain on Monday as part of the crackdown on international terrorism has been charged with two counts of training others in the use of firearms and explosives.

43-year-old Sulayman Balal Zainulabidin, from Greenwich in south-east London, was charged under the Section of the Terrorist Act that deals with "providing training in the making or use of firearms, explosives, or chemical, biological or nuclear weapons".

Although the charges include references to chemical, biological and nuclear weapons, Zainulabidin’s offences are believed to relate to firearms and explosives.
